I am originally from Oberlin, KS. I graduated from Hastings College in 2009 with a B.A. in Chemistry. I then spent a year and a half at the University of Kansas working on research in the field of Organic Chemistry. I returned to Hastings College and obtain my Masters in teaching in 2013.
I married my wife Nicole in the summer of 2012. She works for Grand Island Physical Therapy at St. Francis Hospital. We were blessed with our son Luke in August 2014, and he growing up so fast. We didn’t feel like our hands were full enough, so we also got our yellow lab puppy, Brooks, in May 2015. I have high hopes he will be quite the hunting buddy for Luke and I over the years.

In May 2017, Nicole and I had our second child, Ella. She has grown so quickly over this last year. She loves having big brother around to make her smile, and she doesn't mind the occasional lick to the face that Brooks sneaks in now and then.
Other than science, some things I enjoy are hunting, fishing, camping, biking, and sports
